1/r - POTENTIAL WITHOUT CHARGE
نویسنده
چکیده
In order to get geodesically complete Reißner-Nordstrøm space-times, it is necessary to identify pairs of singular points. This can be done in such a way that ”wormholes” are created which generate electric field lines without any charge. Finally, it is shown that it is possible to glue this space-time not in the singularities r = 0, but at some r > 0. The surface energy generated by this gluing is exotic, but tends to zero in the limit r → 0.

Calculating charge radius for proton with hyper central interacting color potential
An improved M.I.T. bag model with hyper central interaction is used to calculate the charge radius for proton containing u and d quarks. We present a theoretical approach to the internal structure of three-body hyper central interacting quarks in a proton, in which we take proton as a bag. We discuss a few of results obtained using a six-dimension potential, which is attractive for small separa...
متن کاملPotentiation by the beta subunit of the ratio of the ionic current to the charge movement in the cardiac calcium channel.
The voltage-activated rabbit cardiac calcium channel alpha 1 subunit was expressed in Xenopus oocytes. The charge movement of its voltage sensor was measured and related to the opening of the ion-conducting pore. The half-activation potential for charge movement was 35 millivolts more negative than that for pore opening. Coexpression of the cardiac calcium channel beta subunit reduced this diff...
متن کاملSimilarity of limiting currents in planar and cylindrical crossed- eld diodes
Limiting currents in planar crossedeld diodes have been studied for over 70 years [1][3] for B < BHull and more recently for B > BH [4]. Recent simulations of cylindrical crossedeld diodes for anode/cathode radius ratios of 2 and 5 indicate that the limiting current curve in cylindrical diodes follows the planar theory and simulations very closely [5]. Newer simulations for larger radius ratios...
متن کاملElectric Potential Due to a System of Conducting Spheres
Equations describing the complete series of image charges for a system of conducting spheres are presented. The method of image charges, originally described by J. C. Maxwell in 1873, has been and continues to be a useful method for solving many three dimensional electrostatic problems. Here we demonstrate that as expected when the series is truncated to any finite order N, the electric field r...
متن کاملDyonic Instantons in Five-Dimensional Gauge Theories
We show that there exist finite energy, non-singular instanton solutions for fivedimensional theories with broken gauge symmetry. The soliton is supported against collapse by a non-zero electric charge. The low-energy dynamics of these solutions is described by motion on the ADHM moduli space with potential. Introduction Instantons appear as BPS particle-like configurations in five-dimensional ...
